International students and scholars and their dependent family members who will be in 密歇根 for 四个月以上 are considered 密歇根 residents and must 应用 for a 密歇根 驾照 if they intend to drive.

2. Take a Written Test, Vision Exam, and Pay the License Application Fee
On the same day you present your identification documents at a Secretary of State Branch Office, you will take written tests of your knowledge of 密歇根 driving laws and road signs. 你还需要做视力检查. The vision exam is a simple test to ensure that your visual abilities are adequate for driving. 您还将支付驾驶执照费.
